PULASKI, Tenn. - Authorities have identified the pilot killed in the crash of a small plane near Pulaski as an Alabama man.
The Daily Herald reported the Giles County medical examiner's office said the victim was 24-year-old Cliff Joseph Rosa of Huntsville, Ala.
Rosa was killed when his Sonerai experimental craft crashed and burned after it nosedived onto Rt. 11 South on Tuesday morning.
A Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman had initially said the plane was a crop duster. Later, it was determined there was a crop duster working in the area, but that plane did not crash.
The experimental was powered by a modified Volkswagen car engine and Abernathy Field manager Randy Jones said Rosa had flown it only a few times.
