One dead, one hurt in shooting that led to rollover crash on 28th Ave.

Metro police say one man is dead and another is injured after they were shot in their SUV and crashed.

Police said the two men were parked in a silver Ford Explorer on Booker Street near Lena Street when they were shot. The pair quickly drove away, and ran through stop sign at 28th Avenue. They hit another car, flipping their SUV on its side.

When police arrived, one man was dead in the SUV. The other, who was shot in the leg, ran from the SUV but collapsed nearby. He is at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition, according to police spokeswoman Kris Mumford.
