Pikeville restaurant owner charged with sexual exploitation of a minor

A Pikeville, Tenn., man is facing charges of exploitation and solicitation in connection with a police sting conducted last week.

Pikeville Police Chief Ronnie Byrd said Henry L. Smith, 36, of Pikeville, is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and solicitating exploitation in connection with the sting performed last week.

Smith is free on $20,000 bond and faces a date in General Sessions Court Aug. 5, jail officials said this morning.

Smith is the owner of the Southern Skillet restaurant on Main Street, according to officials.

Chief Byrd said Smith has no prior criminal record or similar incidents on his record.
