HomeServe, a provider of emergency home repair service plans, is adding 100 jobs and boosting its head count in Chattanooga to 300 workers, officials said today.

The company also plans to invest about $65,000 at its call center and offices at The Pointe Corporate Centre. It will hold a job fair today through Thursday at its 1232 Premier Drive location.

"Our Jobs4TN strategy places emphasis on existing Tennessee businesses," said Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam in a statement.

Unveiling the new jobs at the Mayors Industry Appreciation Breakfast, Chattanooga City Mayor Andy Berke termed HomeServe "a key contributor to Chattanooga's economy,"

Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger said that in a few short years, HomeServe has already become one of the city's most active job creators. HomeServe came to Chattanooga in 2011.

Charles Wood, vice president of economic development for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, said HomeServe cited the local workforce and the city's advanced data infrastructure and Smart Grid.
