Man accused in Georgia kidnapping rearrested

SUWANEE, Ga. - A man accused of kidnapping his sons in December has been rearrested for violating a condition of his bond.

Authorities say Daniel Cleary was arrested after one of his sons was playing in the backyard Monday night and saw him hiding behind a tree holding a knife. Police say the boy told his mother and Cleary threw a tree branch at her when she came outside to investigate.

Police say they tried stopping Cleary and he led officers on a high-speed chase. Cleary eventually got out of his car, threatened suicide and was subdued with a stun gun.

Cleary is being held in the Gwinnett County jail on charges of aggravated stalking, DUI, fleeing or attempting to elude, speeding, and reckless driving.

It's unclear if he has a lawyer.
