BOONE, N.C. - The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team, already the Southern Conference regular-season champions, closed out its regular season at the Holmes Center today with a 69-45 win against rival Appalachian State.
UTC didn't have a great deal to play for other than pride, extending its win streak beyond 15 games and keeping the Lady Mocs' momentum going heading into next week's SoCon tournament.
That was plenty as UTC (26-3, 19-1) jumped out to a 9-0 lead to start the game and was in control throughout.
