District 2 city commission candidate Jerry Mitchell.Former city employee Jerry Mitchell got 54 percent or 1,593 votes to win a seat on the Chattanooga City Council in District 2.
Roger Tuder, president of the Associated General Contractors of East Tennessee, got 965 votes and Priscilla Simmons received 356. There were 11 write-in votes.
