Doug GreeneDoug Greene has stepped down as head coach of the Rhea County football team, and will return to the Ooltewah sidelines as defensive coordinator, he confirmed on Thursday morning.
Greene spent four seasons (2006-2009) as the Owls' defensive coordinator, under coach Benny Monroe. He then went to Carson-Newman and served as defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator for a year, before spending the past two seasons as Rhea coach, compiling a record of 3-17.
