Police from multiple Alabama agencies are searching on foot, with dogs and by air for one of three men suspected in multiple drugstore burglaries in Alabama and Dade County, Ga.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said in a news release that a drugstore in Dade County was hit about 1 a.m. today and one in Valley Head, Ala., was broken into a short time later. Those break-ins came on the heels of one in Collinsville, Ala., Tuesday night, Harris said.

A Collinsville, Ala., police officer spotted a vehicle believed associated with the burglaries on Interstate 59 and pulled it over. There were three men in the car and a number of large prescription bottles, according to Officer Jeremy Bell's report.

Bell arrested two of the occupants but the third fled.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and approximately 270 pounds, dressed all in black.

Harris said Fort Payne, Geraldine and Crossville police are searching for the man along with the Etowah County Sheriff's office and a Jackson County K-9 team. The Alabama State Troopers put a helicopter in the air, he said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office at 256-845-3801.
