The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Josh Condon will challenge fourth-seeded Tyler Caldwell in tonight's Round-of-16 winners-bracket matches at the NCAA wrestling tournament in Des Moines, Iowa.

Caldwell entered the tournament with a 30-4 record, which includes a third-period pin of Condon earlier this season.

Condon, a senior 165-pounder, defeated Edinboro's Johnny Greisheimer 7-4 to become the only one of five Mocs to win his opener. All wrestlers will compete again tonight.

Niko Brown (197) dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 9 seed Jake Meredith of Arizona State; Nick Soto (125) lost by major decision to Wyoming's 12-seeded Tyler Cox; Dean Pavlou (141) dropped a 5-2 decision to Rutger's Trevor Melde; and Alex Hudson got pinned by No. 5 seed Steve Santos of Columbia after leading 5-4 in the third period.

Tonight's matchups include Soto vs. No. 5 seed Jarrod Garnett of Virginia Tech. Garnett was upset 7-6 by Appalachian State's Dominic Parisi 7-6. Pavlo meets Missouri's Nick Hucke, who lost to No. 3 seed Michael Mangrum of Oregon State 6-4 in overtime. Hudson faces Iowa State's Max Mayfield, who lost by major decision to Michigan's 12th-seed Eric Grajales. Brown will wrestle Andrew Campolattano of Ohio State. Campolattano lost to No. 8 seed Micah Burak of Penn, 8-7.
