Georgia sheriff's deputy found shot to death on rural road

DUBLIN, Ga. - Sheriff's officials in central Georgia are investigating the death of a sheriff's deputy who was found shot to death on an isolated road

The Telegraph reports that a motorist found the body of the Johnson County deputy on a road in Laurens County Friday night.

Laurens County sheriff's officials identified the deputy as 23-year-old Khristal Wright, who was off duty at the time.

Authorities say Wright appeared to have died at the scene as a result of gunshot wounds.
