Man dies from injuries sustained in crash in Chattanooga

Chattanooga police are reporting a 23-year-old man died from injuries sustained at a crash on April 26, Master Patrol Officer Nathan Hartwig said.

D'Marcus Hall was driving north in a Volkswagen Passat on Beulah Avenue when he struck a parked car. He fled the scene of the crash, continuing north to Virginia Avenue. He crashed a second time into a ditch, Hartwig said.

He was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Erlanger hospital, where he died from his injuries on April 29.

It's unclear why Hall crashed. The crashes remain under investigation.

Chattanooga police have investigated seven traffic fatalities this year.
