Lauren Alaina returns to the "American Idol" stage in Los Angeles on Thursday, when she'll perform during the Top 3 results show (Fox, 8 p.m.)

The Rossville country singer, who was runner-up on "American Idol" Season 10, will debut her new single, "Barefoot and Buckwild," according to a Fox press release. Also performing on Thursday night's episode will be Grammy Award-winner Alicia Keys.

Lauren Alaina will hold a live chat with fans today at 7:15 p.m. on livestream.com to promote Tuesday morning's release of "Barefoot and Buckwild" on iTunes and Amazon.

The catchy, up-tempo song already has gotten a positive review from one of country music's superstars. Carrie Underwood posted a tweet to Lauren Alaina on Friday saying she'd just been given a sneak preview of the song.

"It's so much fun! Love it!" Underwood said.
