Lauren Alaina's new single cracks country Top 40

Lauren Alaina's new single, "Barefoot and Buckwild," cracked the Top 40 on iTunes' country singles chart before noon today.

On its first day of release, the single was No. 56 in the top 100 digital downloads by 8:30 a.m., before climbing to No. 37 by 11:30 a.m.

At 5 p.m., "Barefoot and Buckwild" is No. 26, surpassing Kenny Chesney's new single, "Pirate Flag," at No. 27. "Barefoot and Buckwild" was also outpacing "Hush Hush" (No. 34) the new single from Miranda Lambert's side project, Pistol Annies, which today released a new CD, "Annie Up."
