The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has announced the capture of a man who fled from the Meigs County Jail over the weekend.

Christopher Eric Millsaps, 28 of Georgetown, escaped from the Meigs County Jail Sunday night, TBI officials said.

Millsaps was serving time for felony methamphetamine manufacturing charges, authorities said.

"Through the assistance of a cooperating citizen, TBI was able to make contact with Millsaps while he was on the run and he agreed to turn himself into TBI agents last night," TBI spokeswoman Kristin Helm states in a news release.

Millsaps was taken into custody at the Save A Lot grocery store on Highway 58 in Georgetown, Helm said. He was charged with escape.
