JACKSON, Tenn. - Prosecutors say more than 120 law enforcement officials participated in a takedown of 13 people indicted on drug charges.
The U.S. attorney's office in Jackson says the individuals arrested in West Tennessee were charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana, and the distribution of those drugs.
If convicted, each charge carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million dollars. If any of the individuals has a prior drug conviction, the penalties increase to a maximum of 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $2 million dollars.
Officers and agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement agencies were involved in the case.
