Fire does some damage to Lynskey Performance building

The Chattanooga Fire Department extinguished a fire this morning at Lynskey Performance at 3911 Volunteer Drive.

A fire department news release said difficulty in gaining access to the building meant that it took about an hour to completely put out the fire.

However, most of the building was undamaged. There is no dollar loss available yet and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Capt. Teri Rose said the fire appeared to have begun in some machinery before spreading to an adjacent wall.

There were no injuries.

Lynskey is a bicycle manufacturer.
