Tennessee State's College of Engineering awarded $1.9 million grant

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee State University's College of Engineering has received a nearly $2 million grant from the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory to study strategic initiatives.

The $1.9 million grant will be used to study the development and integration of war-fighting technologies to support air, space and cyberspace forces with the Department of Defense.

The College of Engineering has been awarded multiple grants from the Department of Defense throughout the year, including a $334,000 grant from the U.S. Army Research Office to research automated surveillance systems.
