Schwan Cosmetics, W Squared expanding in Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - State officials are announcing two Middle Tennessee business expansion projects that are expected to create more than 300 jobs.

Tennessee Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty says Schwan Cosmetics USA is building a facility in Murfreesboro, expecting to add 250 jobs over the next five years.

Hagerty and Schwan officials say the plant will merge company facilities in Piscataway, N.J., and Lewisburg, representing a $38 million investment.

Also Wednesday, Hagerty announced that corporate back office services provider W Squared will expand its operations in Brentwood.

W Squared will invest $4 million in infrastructure, including the addition of nearly 30,000 square feet to the Brentwood location, and add 115 new jobs. The company provides technology-managed services, health care information technology, finance and accounting, human resources and information security services.
