The driver of a vehicle that left the roadway on Wednesday while traveling north on Highway 27 sustained life-threatening injuries and is reportedly in critical condition at a local hospital.
The Chattanooga Police Department said the single-vehicle accident occurred at 1060 Highway 27.
The vehicle left the road, struck a guardrail and then went into a roll that led to the driver being ejected, a news release said.
There is an investigation into the accident.
