The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team's 2013 season came to an end today when the Mocs were left out of the 24-team Football Championship Subdivision playoff field.

UTC got together at the University Center to watch the selection show on ESPNU - the opening shot was of the Mocs - and the players and coaches watched silently as the brackets were announced.

The Mocs finished 8-4, 6-2 in the Southern Conference, and shared the program's first conference championship since 1984. UTC shared the title with Furman and Samford.

The Paladins earned the automatic bid via tiebreaker and Samford received an at-large bid.
