UTC Mocs logoThe University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team opened with a 14-0 run and easily cruised past Auburn 80-52 on Sunday at McKenzie Arena.
Meghan Downs led the Mocs (4-1) with 17 points, and Ashlen Dewart and Alex Black each scored 13 in the win.
Auburn (3-2) committed 22 turnovers to seven by UTC, and the Mocs shot 50.9 percent from the field to more than make up for the Tigers' 34-24 rebounding advantage.
