MCDONOUGH, Ga. - Police in Henry County say they're investigating the death of a woman whose body was found lying near Interstate 75.
Sgt. Joey Smith told WXIA-TV he woman, who is believed to be homeless, was found Sunday afternoon in an area where homeless people are known to gather.
Temperatures in much of the metro Atlanta area dropped to near freezing overnight and authorities are unsure of whether the drop in temperature contributed to the woman's death.
The woman's identity has not been released.
