Ex-Ala. postal worker gets prison time in shooting

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - A former Montgomery postal worker has been sentenced to a decade in prison after he pleaded guilty to shooting at two co-workers in December 2011.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Montgomery says 31-year-old Arthur Darby Jr. was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge W. Harold Albritton to serve 10 years and one day in federal prison.

Darby had pleaded guilty to attempted assault of two postal employees, discharging a gun during a violent crime and possession of a firearm in a federal facility. Officials say no one was injured in the shooting.
