ATLANTA - Temperatures remained above freezing in most of Georgia early today, sparing residents from treacherous ice.
However, the National Weather Service said most of north Georgia was under a flood watch through Wednesday morning.
Forecasters said rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches were expected in that part of the state by Wednesday morning, with higher amounts possible.
The weather service is projecting a chance of rain and snow in metro Atlanta Wednesday morning, but little or no snow accumulation is expected in the city.
Some snow accumulation will be possible in the north Georgia mountains Wednesday morning. In Blairsville, for instance, forecasters say new snow accumulation of less than a half-inch is possible.
