Eighty thousand bananas, 60,000 apples or 33,000 oranges.

That's approximately how much fruit $20,000 can buy.

Unum awarded the Chattanooga Area Food Bank with a grant in that amount to purchase fresh fruit for its Sack Pack program that delivers weekly supplemental food sacks to children at school on Fridays.

"One in four children living in the Chattanooga Area Food Bank's service area doesn't have access to enough food," said Unum Senior Vice President Tom White. "We're excited to partner with the Food Bank to provide children with fresh, nutritious foods and to help eliminate hunger in our community."

Along with the donation, Unum employees recently volunteered at the Food Bank to help pack Sack Packs that are delivered to 20 schools in the area.
