Police: 27 weapons stolen from gun shop

KNOXVILLE - Police say 27 weapons have been stolen from a gun shop in West Knoxville, and authorities are looking for suspects.

The Knoxville News Sentinel reports that the thefts occurred early Thursday at Guardian Armory.

According to the Knoxville Police Department, 24 of the stolen weapons were reported to be handguns, and the other three were either rifles or shotguns.

The suspect or suspects allegedly shattered the front glass window of the business and fled before officers arrived.
