Chattanooga Mocs cruise to 42-21 win over Western Carolina

CHATTANOOGA - Jacob Huesman accounted for a career-best five touchdowns and the defense had four interceptions as Chattanooga easily held on for a 42-21 win over Western Carolina on Saturday night.

Huesman threw four touchdown passes and ran for another score, and was 18 of 25 for 223 yards passing.

The Mocs (3-2, 1-1 Southern Conference) out-gained the Catamounts on the ground 209-98 in their fourth-straight game with at least 200 yards rushing. Keon Williams led the way with 127 yards on 20 carries.

The Catamounts (1-5, 0-3) threw three first-half interceptions and were down 28-0 before scoring their first touchdown late in the third quarter. They never quit, scoring twice more, but never got closer than within 21 points of Chattanooga.

Troy Mitchell was 16 of 22 for 181 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. His favorite target was Terryon Robinson, who had 5 catches for 91 yards and a touchdown.
