The Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire that destroyed a house at 2127 Green Pond Road, Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., late Friday afternoon. The Soddy Daisy Fire Department and Mowbray Volunteer Fire Department were called for assistance but the fire was too advanced. The house was unoccupied and the fire is under investigation.
