Judge reduces $50 million bond for Alabama man in sex case

FLORENCE, Ala. - A north Alabama judge has reduced the $50 million bond set for a man charged in a sexual abuse case.

A court set the high bond for 31-year-old David Erick Fray of Killen after he was arrested on charges of having child pornography and a video of himself sexually abusing a woman.

But Circuit Judge Mike Jones reduced the bond to $225,000 during a hearing Tuesday.

The TimesDaily reports the bond was lowered to let the man attend a sexual addiction treatment facility in Pennsylvania.

Gray was charged with 150 counts of child pornography in September. He was released on $100,000 bond, but police arrested him again after finding some 10,000 photos and the video on a computer.

Defense lawyer Leslie Johnson says Gray deserves a reasonable bond.
