You'll be able to enter your event information, include any of your own sponsors and draw participants and spectators to your event.Your event will be listed on RVRROX.com and in ChattanoogaNOW. All events submitted before Sept. 10 also will be in the October issue of Get Out Magazine.
Adventure athletes aren't the only ones who can get outside during RiverRocks 2013. Organizers of the outdoor community event, to be held in October, want your event to be part of the annual festival, too.
RiverRocks is asking community members to create events that celebrate the outdoor assets in the region while providing a way for everyone to join hikes, bikes, climbs, swims and more.
Called "Get Out Events," they will be listed on RVRROX.com, ChattanoogaNOW and in Get Out Magazine to encourage the community to get out and enjoy the outdoors as a couple, family or group of friends during the 10-day festival.
The Get Out Events will complement the following featured RiverRocks Adventure Sports Games:
• Rock'Creek StumpJump 50k & 11 Mile Trail Race -- Oct. 5
• Sequatchie Valley Century -- Oct. 5
• RiverRocks Canoe/Kayak Race -- Oct. 5
• RiverRocks SUP Race -- Oct. 5
• Triple Crown of Bouldering -- Oct. 12
• Chattanooga Head Race -- Oct. 12
• Urban Nature 10k -- Oct. 12
• Five Points Fifty -- Oct. 12
• Swim the Suck 10-Mile Swim -- Oct. 12
• RiverRocks Duathalon -- Oct. 13
• ChattaJack 31 -- Oct. 26
The multiday festival kicks off with Over the Edge on Oct. 2, which features local celebrities rappelling 20 stories down the SunTrust building as a fundraiser for Boy Scouts of America and RiverRocks. The games will conclude with the RiverRocks Finale at The Block on Oct. 12, with the last athletic event on Oct. 26 during the ChattaJack31.
