A 23-year-old Athens Park Blood gang member is facing an allegation of rape.

A woman told police she was visiting a friend in College Hill Courts early Saturday morning when Rodney "Ra-Ra" Lomnick cornered her inside her friend's residence, according to a Chattanooga police arrest report.

"The victim stated that he grabbed her by the neck area and pushed her against the wall ... The suspect grabbed the victim around the waist and forced her to walk upstairs and pushed her down on the bed," the report states.

The woman told Lomnick to stop several times during the attack, the report states.

Lomnick reportedly approached the woman after the attacks, "crying and asking her not to call the police and that if he did it that he was sorry," the report states.

The woman was taken to a sexual assault center for treatment.

When questioned by police, Lomnick at first denied the allegation before finally admitting that he had intercourse with the woman.

Lomnick, who has prior arrests for gambling, drug possession and assault, had a bond was set at $20,000. His next court date for this case is set for Thursday before Hamilton County Sessions Court Judge Christine Sell.
