Chattanooga City Council approves Petty Road zoning exemption

September 24th, 2013 by Louie Brogdon in Local - Breaking News

Chattanooga City Council members tonight approved a contested zoning exemption for addresses in the 8600 block of Petty Road.

Developers Joseph Ingram, Glen Meadows and Brett Sexton requested the exception to build a 38-unit development of quadplexes. Community members opposed the exception, citing traffic concerns.

Council members Larry Grohn, Chip Henderson, Ken Smith, Russell Gilbert and Yusuf Hakeem voted in favor of the measure. Chris Anderson, Carol Berz, Moses Freeman and Jerry Mitchell voted against the exception.
