Chattanooga City Council to vote on accepting a Lyndhurst grant tonight

Chattanooga City Council members will vote tonight to allow the Public Works Department to accept an $85,000 grant from the Lyndhurst Foundation. The grant aims at funding a green infrastructure and low impact building competition.

Public Works Director Lee Norris said the grant will help local developers learn how to work within the bounds of new storm water management rules.

"The goal here is to get the architects, engineers and developers to get on the same page to see how green infrasture can work on different areas," he said.
