NORCROSS, Ga. - A woman was found wounded by gunfire inside a minivan in Atlanta's northeast suburbs, and police are trying to learn what led to the shooting.
Authorities say the woman was found bleeding in the vehicle at a gas station in Norcross early Monday morning.
CBS Atlanta reports that police found the woman around 1:30 a.m. outside the Exxon station on Jimmy Carter Blvd. near Rolling Way. Police said the woman, who was alert and breathing, was taken to a hospital.
Gwinnett County police turned over the case to DeKalb County police when they learned that the shooting occurred in nearby DeKalb County.
Few other details were immediately available early today.
