A member of the Chattanooga Skydiving Company slammed into center field tonight before the start of the Southern League season opener at AT&T Field between the Chattanooga Lookouts and the Jackson Generals.

Justin Silvia hit the ground hard at 7:19 and remained there for 17 minutes before being taken off on a stretcher. He gave the thumbs up while being carried off.

The Lookouts then took the field, and the first pitch by Carlos Frias was at 7:38.
