2 shootings reported in Chattanooga

Chattanooga police are investigating separate shootings that injured two men today.

According to a news release, the first happened shortly after midnight. Police were called to 2015 Rawlings St. at 12:26 a.m., where Anthony Douglas told them he had been walking when a white SUV drove up and a passenger shot at him.

Douglas was hit in the left hand and was taken to the hospital.

Shortly before 3 p.m., police were called to a hospital where Marice Manghanu told them he had been walking in a parking lot when one of four black males fired at him, hitting him in the right thigh.

The release said police have no suspect information or leads. Anyone with information about either attack is asked to call police at 423-698-2525 or Crime Stoppers at 423-698-3333.
