Authorities say a man was killed after he jumped on the tracks and ran toward a train in southern Whitfield County.
It happened around 10:30 last night on South Dug Gap Road.
A Norfolk Southern conductor and witness both report seeing the white male in his 20's before the accident, the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office reports.
Investigators say he had no identification on him. He was dressed in blue jeans, with no shirt or shoes.
