Chattanooga attorney reinstated after suspension

A Chattanooga attorney has completed a 26-month suspension and has been reinstated to the practice of law, according to a news release.

Bruce H. Guthrie II was suspended July 30, 2009, after the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found he had violated the Rules of Professional Conduct by "neglecting the files of four separate clients and failing to communicate with those clients."

The board made the suspension retroactive to May 2007, when he was temporarily suspended, a news release stated.

Guthrie applied for reinstatement, and a hearing panel agreed to restore his license on July 30, the news release stated.
