Roberts Mill Road to close for up to 30 days for slope repairs

Roberts Mill Road will close later this month for up to 30 days for slope repairs adjacent to the road.

Hamilton County Commissioners today unanimously voted to close the road and pay GeoStabilization International $306,845 from a state contract for the repairs.

County Public Works Administrator Todd Leamon said the repairs are slated to begin Aug. 18. Residents and county emergency vehicles will have to use the W Road or Signal Mountain Road to access Walden's Ridge.

The company is the same company that repaired the W Road last April.
