8900 block of Hixson Pike
The 8900 block of Hixson Pike will be closed to traffic for the next several hours due to a fire on a truck loaded with hay.
At about 1:35 p.m. the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office was notified of a truck hauling a full load of hay on fire and traveling north on Hixson Pike. Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 8900 block of Hixson Pike where deputies located the truck.
Hixson Pike will be closed to traffic until Hamilton County Highway Department can respond to clear the roadway of the load of hay. Information relayed to the Sheriff's Office the road would not be open to traffic again until approximately 6:00 p.m.
