Train death

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has identified the man who ran in front of a train Monday night in south Whitfield County and was killed.

The victim, Daryl Shea Bell, 23, was identified through fingerprints, a news release from the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office states.

Bell lived about three miles from where the incident occurred on South Dug Gap Road, authorities said.

Investigators determined Bell left his home on foot about two hours before the incident was reported.

The train was moving about 40 miles per hour when it struck the victim, according to authorities.

Toxicology reports and additional autopsy information are pending.
