OAK RIDGE - Elyanna Peck was in a hurry to enter this world, and a Roane County E-911 Center dispatcher gave a quick course by phone in birthing babies to Ashley Peck's friend.

Ashley Peck's water had broken, and she was in the last throes of labor. She told Betty Nemeth as Nemeth sped toward Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge that they weren't going to make it and to park her car along a Roane County road.

Dispatcher Annette Stubbs said she and co-worker Julie Griffin received two 911 calls at 9 a.m. Tuesday; one from Nemeth and the other from Peck. Fifteen minutes later, Elyanna arrived.
