A Hamilton County grand jury returned indictments Wednesday for three men charged with first-degree murder.

Jeremy Scott Richie, 39, was indicted on a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder in the June shooting death of his ex-girlfriend, Crystal Perry Ostrum, in Soddy-Daisy. Richie was arrested after Ostrum was found shot to death in her trailer. Her new husband and stepson also were injured in the shooting.

Also indicted on a charge of first-degree murder was Wendell "Dooney" Mitchell, 41, who was arrested in July in connection with the Sixth Avenue stabbing death of Jeffery Jackson.

The grand jury indicted JaMichael Harris, 21, in connection with the June killing of Inez Burney. Police said Harris killed Burney in her College Hill Courts apartment and tried to make her death look like a drowning.
