Arrest made after babies found dead in East TN house

GREENEVILLE - The stepfather of two girls whose bodies were found Wednesday morning in a house at 304 N. Hardin St. was charged early Saturday morning with two counts of aggravated child abuse and neglect.

Erick Eugene Jones Jr., 21, of the North Hardin Street address "did commit a crime in violation (of the law) by the act of abuse and/or neglect" against Kynsleigh Easterly, who would have been 15 months old on Christmas Day, and 2-month-old Trinity Tweed, according to arrest warrants by Greeneville police Detective Kenni Carter.

Jones is listed in funeral announcements as the stepfather of both girls.
