Paul GuerrantDalton police say the man killed before Christmas on Dozier Street was walking home from church at the time.
43-year-old Paul Guerrant of Dalton had attended a meeting at St. Mark's Episcopal Church at 901 Emery Street Dec. 22.
Authorities say the attack happened around 9:30 p.m. Video from various businesses along the route show him walking alone.
Guerrant was taken to Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga. He was pronounced dead after arrival.
