Memphis mother charged in baby's disappearance out on bond

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A Memphis mother charged in the disappearance of her 7-week-old daughter has been released from jail.

Leslie Ballin, the lawyer for Andrea Walker, says Walker has been released on $250,000 bond.

Walker has pleaded not guilty to a charge of aggravated child abuse or neglect in the disappearance of her daughter, Aniston Walker.

The baby was reported missing Jan. 9, and police could not find the girl during a search lasting three days.

Police said Walker told them she left the baby at home with her 3-year-old son while she took her 5-year-old son to school. She said that when she returned home, the baby was gone, but the 3-year-old was still there.
