About 35,000 customers are without power in the Chattanooga and North Georgia region this morning, due to the crippling snowstorm.

EPB reports 24,000 homes and businesses without power, saying the heavy snowfall is weighing down branches on power lines.

All crews working, EPB reports, and the company expect 22 crews from Nashville and Knoxville to start arriving soon.

The most heavily impacted areas are from Red Bank to Sale Creek and Graysville, but numerous outages are also scattered around the area, EPB said in a news release.

North Georgia EMC reports approximately 12,000 customers are without power due to trees falling on power lines

Outages are spread across NGEMC's seven-county service area, with the largest number of outages in Walker, Chattooga, Gordon and Whitfield counties.
