Tuscaloosa installs more red light cameras

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - City crews in Tuscaloosa are installing more red light cameras at busy intersections, and the city engineer says more of them could be up and running within a month.

WBRC-TV reports that drivers in recent days could see crews installing cameras or their wiring on Skyland Boulevard at McFarland and Interstate 359.

Red light cameras will also be installed at McFarland and James Harrison Parkway, as well as University Boulevard and Lurleen Wallace Boulevard North and South.

Currently, only one working red light camera is up and running on 15th Street near Dr. Edward Hilliard Drive. That camera has been working since September.
