Greeneville, TN: 26 indicted by federal jury in meth case

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - A federal grand jury in Greeneville has charged 26 people with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

The suspects are mostly middle-aged but range in age from 22 to 73. They face a minimum of 10 years in a federal prison.

U.S. Attorney William C. Killian said in a news release Tuesday that five of the suspects also face additional firearms charges.

Authorities say an investigation shows that people involved were buying methamphetamine in Georgia and then distributing the drug in Tennessee and Kentucky.
